A Full-Circle Moment on Good Day Sacramento
This week, I had the chance to step back into a world I haven’t been on in a long time - Good Day Sacramento. I’ve stopped by the studio for a few things in recent years, but this was my first time back on camera, in many many years and it brought back so many memories.
Good Day and Channel 31 is where I got my start as a college intern and where I worked on and off for several years, both on air and behind the scenes. Those early days hold such a special place in my story. Even though I worked in a different building and studio back then, being there still felt familiar in all the best ways. Some places just have that “coming home” kind of feeling, and this is definitely one of them. Especially when there are former co-workers who still work there. It’s always fun running into familiar faces.
This time, I was there to share something that has become such a big part of my life now - and what I’m doing as a business. Sharing simple, practical non-toxic living tips to help create a healthier home. Getting to talk about this work I love, in a space that shaped so many of my early memories, made the moment feel extra meaningful.
And what made it even better? I was interviewed by my friend Courtney Dempsey, who’s now an anchor on the show. Talking with a good friend made everything feel comfortable and easy.
But I was a little nervous going in - since it had been so long since I’d been on camera. I told anchor John Dabkovich that I was feeling nervous - and he said it was “like riding a bike” and that it would come back to me. And it did! 😊
Life has a funny way of weaving old chapters and new passions together, and this experience was a beautiful reminder of that.
To celebrate the segment, I’m offering $10 off my intro to non-toxic living class, The Clean Start Workshop, through Friday 12/5 with code GDS.
If you’re ready to start reducing toxins in your home in a simple, non-overwhelming way, this workshop is the perfect place to begin.
🌟And if you make simmer pots this winter - I’d love to know what you think. Remember - once you add things to a pot, cover it with water and be sure to add more water as needed. Enjoy!
